We had the privilege of visiting the Hero House as they near the completion of their new location. Before the walls were painted, we had the opportunity to write Bible verses, leaving a spiritual foundation and covering the space with prayers and blessings as they step into this exciting new chapter!

Leadership Colquitt County - March 19, 2025

Our Leadership Colquitt County class recently had a session focused on education and recreation, providing valuable insights into local programs and initiatives. During this session, Jasmin, as a student in the LCC program, had the opportunity to participate in the Project Purpose speed networking event. Additionally, she was able to learn about the various CTAE programs offered by the Colquitt County School District, gaining a deeper understanding of the educational opportunities available to students in our community.

Kiwanis Club of Moultrie Visit - February 20, 2025

The Chamber of Commerce was invited by the Kiwanis Club of Moultrie, where President/CEO gave an overview of the services and committees the Chamber provides, highlighting how they benefit our local business community and enhance the quality of life. She also shared information about upcoming Chamber events. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with the Kiwanis Club and discuss how we can continue to support and strengthen our community.

The Chamber of Commerce had the privilege of attending Ollie’s Bargain Outlet’s grand opening, where we celebrated the store’s new location in the community. We were excited to see such a positive addition to the local business landscape, and we look forward to seeing the store thrive and contribute to the area’s economic growth.

Georgia Chamber's Annual Eggs & Issues - ATL - January 13-14, 2025

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce had the privilege to attend the Georgia Chamber’s Annual Eggs & Issues in Atlanta. We heard from Governor Kemp, other Congressional leaders, plus Georgia Chamber’s President Chris Clak. More than 2,500 business leaders from across the state convened for this insightful event that fosters collaboration, progress, and unity for a better tomorrow.

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce had the privilege to attend the Georgia Chamber’s Annual Eggs & Issues in Atlanta. Project Purpose - Senior Day - College Campus Tour - November 12, 2024

Thanks to First National Bank, and Southern Regional Technical College, a group of seniors spent time in specific program areas to help them decide what their +1 will be after graduation and discuss how to create a monthly budget based on their ideal job as an adult. This activity and time spent in SRTC program areas resulted in several students applying for college and everyone getting a better understanding of some basic life skills around finances for the future. This annual event is part of Project Purpose, a joint effort of the Moultrie Chamber, Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority, and the school district.

Teachers and staff from grades 6-12 were welcomed by Downtown Bainbridge, GA, and several in-demand industries for a day of learning. As part of Project Purpose, Teacher immersion Tours take educators into industry to connect hat is occurring in high-demand career fields. This group of educators saw the process for biodegradable plastics manufacturing, fuel catalyst processing, and advancing manufacturing of trusses for construction. They also heard from a small business owner, the Downtown Development Authority, and visited several programs at the SRTC Bainbridge campus.
